Woodland Healthcare Welcomes New General Surgeon
Dr. Karen Win-Vroom joins Woodland Healthcare as a General Surgeon. She received her undergraduate education from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her internship in General Surgery at University of Pittsburgh, Mercy Hospital and her Residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. Dr. Win-Vroom’s focus is on providing laparoscopic surgery for hernias, acid reflux, intestinal problems, and other diseases of the abdomen. She also performs surgery for diseases of the breast, thyroid and parathyroid; as well as colonoscopy and endoscopy.
“I am excited to join my fellow Surgeons in bringing the latest techniques here from the forefront of the field,” said Dr. Win-Vroom. “Woodland Healthcare is rich in resources, but small enough for doctors to work well together in giving patients the individualized, compassionate care they need and deserve. Even with all the technology at our disposal, I feel it is more important than ever to listen to patients, educate them about their options, and develop a treatment plan together. I am treating the entire person, not just a CAT scan or a lab test.”
Dr. Win-Vroom will be seeing patients at our Advanced Imaging and Surgery Center, located at 1321 Cottonwood Street, Woodland, CA.
