Medical Student Clerkships
We welcome fourth-year medical students to spend 2 to 4 weeks with our residency program, after which many decide that we are their first choice come Match Day! The experience includes working in our out-patient clinic Mercy Family Health Center, rounding with the medicine team at the hospital, and participating in various community outreach activities.
A clerkship is not a prerequisite for acceptance into our residency program. It is an opportunity for a student to experience the role of a family doctor in a community practice setting. To be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled in an A.C.G.M.E.-accredited medical school listed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) or American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). Additionally, we must have a Clinical Training Affiliation Agreement in place with the medical school. Applications are reviewed prior to scheduling rotations.
