Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellow
Kiersten Kelly, MD
Medical School: University of California, Davis, School of Medicine
Kiersten grew up in the mountains of Truckee, CA where she played a lot of indoor and outdoor sports and went on to play volleyball at Colorado College. Her favorite class was Neuropsychology which sparked her interest in medicine. After college, she worked at a small boarding school in Colorado teaching and organizing extracurricular trips taking students backpacking, climbing, and mountain biking. She attended UC Davis School of Medicine and was a Rural Community Health Scholar, loving the opportunities that rural medicine provided and being inspired from her previous experiences in small mountain towns. Kiersten completed residency at Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, where she served as a chief resident along with being a resident member of the American Family Physician editorial board and winner of the AAFP Excellence in Graduate Medical Education Award. She chose to pursue an FMOB fellowship to further his skills in women's health and practice full spectrum family medicine. Post fellowship, she plans to stay in the foothills and/or mountains of northern California. Other interests include creative writing, rowing, and trail running with her dog.
