Chief Hospitalist in Internal Medicine at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital

Dr. Nathan Claydon MD is a board-certified Internist and Medical Director of the hospitalist group at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and is a native of Nevada County.  He is currently the Chair of the Bioethics committee, as well as Chair of the Physician Monitoring Committee.  He serves as vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and sits on the regional credentialing committee for the greater Sacramento Division.  Dr. Claydon has a special interest in Critical / ICU care, Substance Use Disorders (SUD), and medical education.  Outside of medicine, Dr. Claydon operates a coffee-roasting company and travels to South America frequently to procure high-quality, organic, fair-trade coffee for roasting in Nevada City, CA.  His free time is spent with his wife Elizabeth, a Family Medicine physician, and his 3 young children; Eloise, Finn and AJ.
