Sacramento cardiology group joins Mercy Medical Group

Dignity Health Medical Foundation (DHMF) announced today that the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants of Regional Cardiology Associates (RCA) will join the physicians and health care providers at Mercy Medical Group, Inc. serving Sacramento-area patients in DHMF's patient care centers effective August 22, 2015.

DHMF’s patient care centers in Sacramento operate under the name Mercy Medical Group, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation.

The RCA and MMG cardiac teams have worked collaboratively for years as an integral part of the award- winning Dignity Health Heart & Vascular Institute, a network of cardiovascular centers providing cardiac services including diagnostic and preventive cardiology, interventional and electrophysiology cardiology, and cardiac surgery. RCA is the largest independent cardiology group in Northern California and is a nationally recognized leader in the fields of interventional cardiology and electrophysiology. The group provides comprehensive care and expertise in the areas of interventional cardiology, arrhythmia management and ablation therapies, cardiac imaging, structural heart disease, and advance heart failure. RCA has six Sacramento-area locations, all of which will become DHMF patient care centers.

DHMF offers patient care services at 23 different locations in the greater Sacramento area with more than 370 providers who are employed by MMG, providing quality, compassionate patient care in 35 different medical and surgical specialties.

As part of the agreement, RCA, MMG, and DHMF will work together to ensure a seamless transition for patients, providers, and employees maintaining the same high level of care.
