Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is dedicated to the improvement of quality of patient and family care at CHMC. It is comprised of past and present patients and families, as well as CHMC staff.
The Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is dedicated to the improvement of quality of patient and family care at California Hospital Medical Center. It is comprised of past and present patients and families, as well as California Hospital staff.
California Hospital Medical Center recognizes and values the importance of patients and families as integral members of the healthcare team. Patients and families can offer unique perspectives and valuable feedback regarding the standard of care they receive. The Patient and Family Advisory Council is a volunteer forum for patients, families, community members, and staff to facilitate patient and family participation in delivery of care, decision making, information sharing, and process improvement.
The PFAC meets on a monthly basis to:
- Identify patient and family needs and concerns
- Provide feedback on current processes
- Discuss new ideas on how to improve the quality of care
