Volunteer at Hope Street
Volunteers play a critical role for children, youth, and families at Hope Street Margolis Family Center. Volunteers can serve as mentors for students, read to children, or help with activity with our after-school youth individually or as a group. In the past, volunteers have served as holiday sponsors who provide special gifts for families who might not otherwise be able to afford celebrations or gifts. Local church or volunteer agencies have also provided special outings or education for our families.
Be a Mentor Today!
Mentors serve as positive role models and a source of support and inspiration. At Hope Street, mentors:
- Offer educational support, academic enrichment, and recreational opportunities for school-aged children and youth (ages 8-17 years)
- Serve as positive role models for children and youth
- Lead small groups in a specific area of interest, such as Math Club and Art Workshop
- Assist and supervise recreational and social activities, including arts and crafts, science, circus arts, yoga, and pool/foosball tournaments
- And much more...
