We’re also proud to be certified by the Joint Commission as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center—which means we meet rigorous standards for performing endovascular thrombectomy and providing post-procedural care.

Glendale Memorial Hospital made the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Stroke Elite Honor Roll. This award recognizes Glendale Memorial Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a high standard of stroke care by ensuring that their stroke patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations.

Glendale Memorial Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care. Chest Pain Center Accredited hospitals have achieved a higher level of expertise when dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack.

Glendale Memorial Hospital has earned an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) designation that ensures we have the staff and technology needed to provide immediate care to young patients.

Glendale Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Fitness Center received full certification from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) for our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. This certification is the only peer-reviewed accreditation process designed to review individual facilities for adherence to standards and guidelines developed and published by the AACVPR and other professional societies.

The Marcia Ray Breast Center received the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) designation by the American College of Radiology (ACR), which distinguishes our facility for achieving optimal outcomes. The BICOE designation is awarded to breast imaging centers that achieve excellence by seeking and earning accreditation in all of the ACR’s voluntary breast-imaging accreditation programs and modules, in addition to the mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program. The Center is also recognized as an “Outstanding Community Partner” by the San Fernando Valley Unit of the American Cancer Society.

Being a Blue Distinction Center means that Community Hospital San Bernardino has been recognized by BlueCross BlueShield as a facility with healthcare providers who have been recognized for their expertise in specialty care services.
