Diabetes and Nutrition Programs
We want to help you stay healthy and delay or avoid entirely the complications associated with diabetes.
Glendale Memorial's Diabetes Education Program is officially recognized by the American Diabetes Association® and meets national standards for Diabetes Self Management Education. Our goal is to help you keep your diabetes under control. We offer resources including group classes, individual instruction and nutrition counseling in both English and Spanish. Most importantly, we want to give you the encouragement you need to make positive lifestyle changes.
Glendale Memorial's Diabetes Management Classes is a series of four group classes covering the various aspects of living with diabetes. Day and evening classes are available. For more information on classes and curriculum, please click on Classes and Events.
Our registered dietitians provide nutrition education and counseling on healthier eating through our Nutrition Program. We will create menus, help you choose snacks and offer some useful restaurant eating tips designed to meet your lifestyle. Glendale Memorial dietitians are also able to customize meal plans addressing the special dietary needs below:
