Mandeep Ghuman, M.D.
Program Director, PCSM Fellowship
Family Medicine Residency Program
California State University, Northridge

Dr. Ghuman is the Program Director for Northridge’s PCSM Fellowship along with being the faculty coordinator for Sports Medicine for the Dignity Health Family Medicine Residency Program at Northridge Hospital. He was born and raised in Southern California, and obtained his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley. He’s a graduate of the University Of Cincinnati’s College Of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency training at Tacoma Family Medicine in Washington State. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the combined UC Davis/UC Berkeley program.

Dr. Ghuman is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a CAQ in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He is an active member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and is a diplomat in the American Academy of Family Medicine. He currently serves as Team Physician for California State University, Northridge and James Monroe High School.

Andrew Blecher, M.D.

Southern California Orthopedic Institute

Andrew M. Blecher was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. He attended Williams College in Massachusetts where he was an NCAA All-American in Track & Field and graduated with Cum Laude honors. He then completed medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.  After medical school, he completed his residency at UCLA’s Family Medicine program at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. Following residency, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio.

Dr. Blecher provides medical orthopedic care to athletes of all ages and is a leader in the growing field of Regenerative Medicine for joints, tendons and ligaments. A Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Blecher is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and is also Board Certified in Sports Medicine. Additionally, he was also awarded the “Pioneer Certificate” for being one of the first to be registered in musculoskeletal ultrasound with the ARDMS certification.  He is also one of the few licensed Regenexx affiliate physicians providing cutting edge PRP and Stem Cell therapies both nationally and internationally.

Currently Dr. Blecher serves as a team physician for Los Angeles Valley College, College of the Canyons (Valencia, CA) and Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, CA). Dr. Blecher is the Medical Director of the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine at SCOI and the Director of the SCORE Concussion Program.

Eric Sletten, M.D.
Faculty, PCSM Fellowship
California State University, Northridge

Dr. Sletten is a core faculty member of the PCSM Fellowship. He is a California native who grew up in the Los Angeles area. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine and earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Afterwards he completed his Family Medicine Residency at Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC), in affiliation with the UCLA School of Medicine Division of Family Medicine. Following residency, he completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine, also with VCMC and UCLA.

In 1991, he became the Team Physician for the California State University, Northridge (CSUN). There he cares for the 400+ NCAA Division I athletes and serves as the Director of the Sports Medicine Clinic at the Addie Klotz Student Health Center where any of the 35,000 students may be treated. As the Director of the CSUN Center for Sports Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Kinesiology, he has been lecturer, educator and collaborator on numerous studies.

Dr. Sletten is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a CAQ in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He is a diplomat in the American Academy of Family Medicine and is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
