Credentialing Volunteers
During disaster situations, members of the community may report to the facility wishing to provide volunteer assistance. Some volunteers may have specific licenses and skills that can be valuable to patient care. These volunteers will be directed to the Labor Pool for credentialing and processing. If licensure can be verified, the volunteers will be used as necessary in conjunction with hospital HCWs. If licensure cannot be verified, the volunteers can be used in roles that are not directly related to patient care.
