Special Services
Because our community and patient population are so diverse, St. Mary Medical Center provides interpreter services in many languages, including Spanish and Cambodian. We also offer social services to help with different situations, and specialized equipment, should you need it.
Interpreter Services
Patients who have any difficulty reading or speaking English may ask a nurse to locate an interpreter.
For further translation assistance, St. Mary Medical Center also has access to a phone translation service. Please let your nurse or caregiver know if you would like access to our “blue” phone to better communicate with your caregiver. Our translation services provide access to interpreters for more than 150 different languages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Social Services
Social Services are available to assist you in coping with and adapting to any crisis situation. If you feel that you would benefit from emotional support or talking with a professional, please feel free to request a visit from a Social Services representative. You may ask your nurse to provide a referral, or contact Social Services directly at extension 3940.
Special Needs
If you have needs or concerns that need special attention or equipment, please alert the Admissions Representative at the time of your admission or let your nurse know. We will make every effort to make you as comfortable as possible during your stay.
