Cardiac Rehabilitation
We want to help you maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle after you've had a heart attack and no longer require hospitalization. That’s why St. Mary Medical Center has affiliated heart specialists available to help you continue on the path to better heart health in our cardiac rehabilitation center.
Cardiac Rehabilitation is a medically supervised program that helps heart patients recover more quickly from heart problems and to improve overall physical, mental and social functioning. The goal is always to stabilize, slow or even reverse the progression of heart disease.
Typical Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
- An exercise program under cardiac nursing supervision

Cardiac rehabilitation is helpful for patients with all types of problems, such as congestive heart failure, angina pectoris (chest pain due to clogged arteries), recent heart attack, coronary artery bypass graft surgery, balloon angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, peripheral artery disease (PAD) and arrhythmia, to name just a few.
Our cardiac rehabilitation is on the first floor of the hospital in a newly remodeled gymnasium.
