U.S. News & World Report Names St Joseph’s one of the Nation’s Best Hospitals

Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center has once again been named as one of the best hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News & World Report's annual listing of top hospitals is the most respected of all national rankings. St. Joseph's is ranked #16 in this year's neurology and neurosurgery category and only 153 U.S. hospitals scored high enough to make this year's prestigious list.

Barrow Neurological Institute, the neurological division at St. Joseph's, is known throughout the world for providing cutting-edge treatment for people with brain and spine diseases, disorders and injuries; medical education and innovative research.

Barrow performs more brain surgeries than any other hospital in the United States. The hospital has the largest neurosurgery residency program in the United States, training more neurosurgeons than anywhere in the world. Barrow is also home to the renowned Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

U.S. News & World Report ranked U.S. hospitals in 16 specialties. The magazine selects hospitals based on a variety of criteria including reputation, mortality rates, patient volumes, and key technologies.
