Meet Our Robots
Dignity Health Sacramento’s high-tech robots allow our da Vinci surgeons to operate with extreme precision and control.
Dignity Health da Vinci® Robotic Surgical Systems
“Seymor”: Mercy San Juan Medical Center
Seymor got his name from a local elementary school student who won the hospital's special naming contest. In providing surgeons with 3-D images of a patient's organs, da Vinci® systems offer a far better view of the treatment area than the naked eye. Seymor can literally "see more" than a human.
“LISA”: Methodist Hospital of Sacramento
LISA, short for “Less Invasive Surgical Application,” got her name from a Methodist Hospital of Sacramento sterile processing technician who won a facility-wide contest to name the operating room’s newest advancement.
Seymor and LISA are two of five high definition da Vinci® Surgical Systems across Dignity Health's Sacramento hospitals. Mercy San Juan Medical Center has two; Mercy General Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Folsom, and Methodist Hospital of Sacramento each have one.
